The story so far
Founded in 2021 by Amol Varpe, the Global Student Centre (GSC) has swiftly established itself as a premier provider of outsourced professional service solutions for universities operating in South Asia. Headquartered in Pune, a city renowned for hosting some of India’s most prestigious universities, GSC also maintains its financial head office in the UAE, reinforcing its global reach and robust governance framework.
Starting with just 7 team members in 2021, GSC has expanded its full-time staff to over 60 professionals by 2025—a testament to its steady growth, strong partnerships, and commitment to operational excellence.
GSC has formed exclusive partnerships with the University of East London (UEL) and its on-campus provider, Malvern House International (MH). In September 2024, we proudly expanded our portfolio by welcoming Leeds Trinity University as a new partner, further strengthening our presence and capabilities in the region.
The GSC leadership team has been instrumental in every aspect of UEL, MH, and Leeds Trinity’s recruitment operations—handling staff hiring, pre-offer screenings, compliance checks, and document validation with precision and care. GSC has not only supported these partners in day-to-day operations but has played a critical role in meeting compliance targets and mitigating risk by ensuring high-risk students are not recruited.
In just three years, UEL has become one of the largest recruiting UK universities in the region, and the MH campus is now home to the second-largest pathway provider in London.
This success is a testament to the collaborative work ethos at GSC, which focuses on achievable objectives, diversification, and risk-averse growth strategies. Our partnership has not only driven significant growth but also reduced the cost of acquisition while maintaining an unparalleled record of high compliance.

The Global Student Centre (GSC) was founded in 2021 by Amol Varpe, a trailblazer in international student recruitment whose career spans nearly two decades. From his early days as a Recruitment Officer to becoming a leading figure in global higher education strategy, Amol’s journey reflects a rare combination of vision, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to student success.
Amol’s career took root at Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College, where he developed a deep understanding of student recruitment, compliance, and international markets. His tenure at the University of East London (UEL) marked a transformative chapter—driving exceptional growth, exceeding enrolment targets, and playing a pivotal role in establishing UEL as one of the largest recruiters in the South Asia region.
Building on this foundation, Amol led the Global Student Centre to form exclusive partnerships with both UEL and Malvern House International. Under his leadership, GSC has not only delivered operational excellence—from staff hiring and pre-offer screenings to compliance checks and document validation—but also created a collaborative ecosystem that empowers universities to thrive in complex markets.
In 2024, GSC expanded its impact by welcoming Leeds Trinity University as a partner, taking responsibility for their recruitment operations across South Asia.
